It began with a conversation on New Years Eve 1984.
Two decades later that conversation had evolved into a book that was launched on New Years Eve 2007-8.

From that, the idea attracted a wide range of people who want to help make it happen.

They are not doing it to get a job. They want to live there.
The book's author, Claude Lewenz, remains the primary public face.
